Prophetic outlook

PricewaterhouseCoopers reports on university finances in Weathering the storm: Coping with the financial challenge in the higher education sector ("As the good times rolled, a quarter of universities ended up in the red", 21 January). Ten years ago, the Association of University Administrators published Weathering the Storm: Crisis management in higher education, which I co-authored with Keith Seacroft. Coincidence or foresight?
