The new Times Higher Education website does indeed provide a much improved “front end” to access the publication. However, surely “Letters” should be immediately adjacent to the “Leader” section in the middle of the home page rather than at the bottom?
Fifty years after E.P. Thompson wrote about it in The Making of the English Working Class, it appears that the “enormous condescension of posterity” is still with us.
