By linking radical changes we are making in the organisation and management of our university with the very welcome recruitment of Gill Nicholls as our new pro vice-chancellor academic ("Salford's new chief performs radical surgery on committees", February 21), the implication is that she will be personally initiating these changes. This is not the case.
