Surely the explanation for the inability of weak tutors to improve over the course of their careers ("Insufficient help leaves weak tutors floundering", August 31) is that they are people who are incapable of objectively assessing performance and of drawing logical conclusions from their assessment. In other words, they shouldn't be teaching at university.
