"Handling the Balance Between Work and Life".
Who will benefit:
Anyone who finds it difficult to handle the balance between work and life.
Aim:
To assist all participants in handling the balance between work and life.
Course outcome:
By the end of the course, participants should be better equipped to handle the balance between work and life.
Content:
(a) An introduction to the problem of balancing work and life
(b) Balancing work
(c) Balancing life
(d) Balancing work and life
Timetable:
The course is divided into four (4) sessions:
19th Feb. 9.00am to 6.30pm
Introduction to handling work/life balance
20th Feb 9.00am to 6.30pm
Balancing work
23rd Feb 9.00am to 6.30pm
Balancing life
24th Feb 9.00am to 6.30pm
Balancing work and life.
Course Leaders:
Mike Tucker, BA (Hons) work and life balance, University of Uttoxeter; Jean Smedley, co-author of Work-Life Balance (Vertigo Books, 2001).
The course, which is open to all university staff (except gardening), will be illustrated with practical examples of "work", "life" and "balance".
