This is Gordon Lapping here in France. LAPPING. I couldn't get through to you using my normal email even though I'd brought all the French telephone adaptors so I had to go along to France Telecom in Auch (a town quite near to where I'm staying with Mrs Lapping) and they said something about the modem not working with the French ADSL system. Anyway, they gave me a new one which I plugged in and nothing happened for several days. And then yesterday it sprang into life and it told me to choose an email address and when I asked for Lapping it said that was already over assigned so the nearest I could get is LUPPING with a 14 after it.

Listen, Maureen, if you have sent any emails could you be an absolute sweetheart and send them all again because I haven't had any so far because of my new name. Remember that I am not Lapping at popp.ac.uk until I get home again. I am Lupping14@wanadoo.fr  < mailto:Lupping14@wanadoo.fr >
