MANUFACTURING companies headed by accountants perform better than those run by qualified scientists and engineers, according a study by Warwick University researchers. The report also says half of the 43,000 top executives in manufacturing firms remain unqualified. Among the qualified, engineers outnumber accountants by three-to-one.
