(Photograph) - Entente cordiale: French poet and critic Jacques Roubaud (centre) relaxes after giving the inaugural Saintsbury lecture at Edinburgh University. The departments of French and English literature are running the lecture and seminar series, named after George Saintsbury, Edinburgh's professor of rhetoric and English literature from 1895-1915, and a notable wine connoisseur. The series is sponsored by the Saintsbury Winery of Napa, California - also named after Professor Saintsbury - whose directors, David Graves (right) and Richard Ward were both teachers before turning to wine making. Professor Roubaud does not drink wine.
