DLitt: Michael Maybury, former director of the Vienna International School, executive secretary to the European Council of International Schools; Charles Mould, former registrar of Oxford Polytechnic, recently retired secretary of the Bodleian Library.

DSc: Bridget Ogilvie, director of the Wellcome Trust, trustee of the Science Museum, member of the UK Council of Science and Technology and the British Council Advisory Committee on Science and Engineering.

LLD: Dora Boatemah, director of the Angell Town Community Project; Geoff Busby, chief executive of external development for Compaid Trust, founder and chairman of the British Computer Society's Disabled Specialist Group.
