University of Wales LLD: John Hume, in recognition of his contribution to the search for political reconciliation in Northern Ireland.

University of Greenwich DBA: Prue Leith, cook, businesswoman, founder of Leith's Restaurant and the School of Food and Wine, chairman of the Royal Society of Arts and member of the National Training Task Force and the National Council for Vocational Qualifications.
