Maintaining silence on outcomes in advance of the formal announcement also seems to have been a problem for some panel members. One seems to have found a way of defusing the temptation by emailing his departmental colleagues with the message that of course he knows how they had done in the exercise, but he couldn't tell them, so they shouldn't ask.
