Aberdeen University is setting up a multimillion pound centre for organic agriculture to help British producers meet the increasing demand for more affordable, high-quality organic food. Supermarket giant Tesco has pledged Pounds 250,000 over four years for the centre, which has helped secure support worth Pounds 5.5 million from other bodies such as the Ministry of Agriculture and the European Union.
