A research "laboratory" to investigate bilingualism has opened in Wales. The centre for research on bilingualism in theory and practice at Bangor University will conduct research into how languages are processed and learned. Margaret Deuchar, its director, said: "The laboratories will be a tremendous benefit for research into the acoustic properties of speech production and experimental work on the online processing of language in bilingual adults and children."
