A group of chemists is beginning a feasibility study into a "super-leaf" that could be used as an innovative and cost-effective solar technology. Peter Holliman is leading the Bangor University team investigating biosolar energy to see whether photosynthesis in plant cells can be scaled up. The project has a one-year grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
