A rare first folio of Shakespeare's plays is available to scholars for the first time for 40 years. It is one of two historical literary texts loaned anonymously to York University's library and archives for three years. The other is an even rarer manuscript of the 14th-century poem Piers Plowman , by William Langland. Photograph by LORNE CAMPBELL/GUZELIAN
