Cinema-goers worldwide are to be surveyed on their reactions to the latest blockbuster Lord of the Rings film, in the biggest project of its kind led by researchers at Aberystwyth University. An online questionnaire in 13 different languages will aim to canvass the views of 100,000 people on how the final film in the trilogy, Return of the King, and others like it in the fantasy genre, connect with their lives, thoughts and beliefs.
