Academics at Louisana State University sought diversions as the state was pounded by Hurricane Katrina. Dana Brown, professor of landscape architecture, who also studies storm water management, fled her home in Baton Rouge, retreating to the design building on campus, Professor Brown and colleagues spent their time watching a DVD of the film Million Dollar Baby while Katrina did her worst outside.
