Bruce for Scots college

Congratulations Vicki Bruce, deputy principal for research at Stirling University, who was this week appointed head of the first of the University of Edinburgh's three new American-style colleges.

Professor Bruce will become head of Edinburgh's College of Humanities and Social Science on September 1. The college brings together the faculties of arts, divinity, education, music, law and social sciences, and will house some 7,500 undergraduates, 2,500 postgraduates and 1,000 full-time equivalent staff.
