The European Commission's Research DG has published a call for tenders for a study on codes of practice for ethics in research.
The European Commission intends to launch an invitation to tender within the framework of the European research area and the implementation of the science and society action plan ethics committees.
The purpose of this study is to gather information on existing ethical codes of conduct for scientific research that exist in the European Union, the candidate countries and other partners in the Framework programme, prepare a directory of the details of existing codes of practice, analyse the collected data, identify and provide copies of those codes of conduct which provide particular examples of excellence.
The contract will contribute to the monitoring of current codes being adopted at EU level and promote best codes of practice across Europe.
