Brussels, 10 May 2002

The European Commission's Enterprise DG has issued a call for tenders (No. ENTR/02/11) for a study 'Assessment of the impact of the eEurope standardisation action plan.'

The purpose of this call is to assist the Commission in evaluating the impact of the financial support provided to the eEurope standardisation action plan so far.

The contractor shall collect information and assist in assessing the eEurope standardisation work, its structures, methodologies and achievements against certain benchmark criteria such as promotion of public interest, open and inclusive final platforms, free availability and use of eEurope standardisation deliverables. A report will be prepared three months after the start of the work. The results shall be further analysed with a view to re-designing, where necessary, the way the Commission provides support to the ICT standardisation process.
