Cambridge lights lost

At an estimated cost of tens of thousands of pounds, Cambridge University has lost its six-year battle to erect floodlights at its athletics track. Opposition came from neighbouring scientists at the Institute of Astronomy, and residents, who said the lights would destroy their view of the night sky.
