A survey by the Research Information Network has found that investment of £30 million over six years has brought a change in provision of access to research resources in university libraries. During 1999-2005, the Research Support Libraries Programme access funding scheme has enabled almost 50 libraries to invest in activities and initiatives aimed at extending access to their collections.
