Centre to examine facets of learning

A new research centre for post-16 education and training is to be created as part of the Learning and Skills Development Agency, formerly the Further Education Development Agency.

The centre will investigate areas of interest to the new Learning and Skills Council, including what motivates people to learn, the impact of information technology on learning, and the strengths and weaknesses of vocational education systems in other countries.
