A degree programme in community TV and radio has become the first of its kind to win accreditation from the Broadcast Journalism Training Council. City University's foundation degree in creative industries, community radio and TV will become fully recognised by the council after it has completed the first of its two-year cycles. Debbie Dickinson, the programme director, said: "Foundation degrees provide a valuable and ideal framework for providing professional development in vocational areas."
