Individual donations to art and cultural organisations have been largely unaffected by the recession, according to research at City University London. A study by the Centre for Cultural Policy and Management found that 72 per cent of donors had not changed their behaviour. Others still gave, but less than before. The study focused on donations to arts and culture organisations, which get £383 million a year from individuals.
