The skills involved in translating foreign-language films will be taught on a new course launched by City University London. The part-time MA in audiovisual translation, which is starting this autumn, will have ten language options, including Arabic and Polish, for up-and-coming translators. Taught on two evenings a week, the course aims to give students who have English and another language key translation skills for subtitling, dubbing or voiceover work.
