Natfhe has claimed that an agreement between the AUT and the Association of University and College Lecturers will damage moves towards collaboration.
The AUCL, which has nearly 3,000 members in the old and new universities, decided at its council meeting, on May 11, to coordinate approaches to major policy issues with the AUT. The AUT and AUCL had hoped that the move would encourage similar linking with Natfhe.
