The CSI-Piemonte technical scientific committee is organising a convention entitled 'The future of memory: preservation of culture in the digital world', to be held in Turin, Italy, on 10 and 11 November.
The event will explore the way in which technical evolution is changing the processes of conservation, diffusion and transmission of knowledge. In separate interdisciplinary work sessions, participants will analyse technical challenges; the social implications of information and communication technology (ICT) innovations; the changes in traditional professions (archivists, historians, librarians) and the legal repercussions.
