CORDIS clarifies FP5 project management issues

March 11, 2003

Brussels, 10 Mar 2003

The Fifth Framework Programme (FP5) of the European Commission is now over. However, there are many projects which are ongoing, and contractors may face new issues and need clarification on general management.

CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is publishing questions and answers (Q&As) to provide clearer information on the interpretation of contractual clauses.

A dedicated section in the FP5 Management service offers insight into and references on participation rules, budget transfer issues, cost allocations and sub-contracting activities. This first set of Q&As outline the real problems faced by project contractors and received by the European Commission's FP5 Helpdesk line.

Additional interpretations of contractual issues will soon be published covering new topics such as intellectual property rights and amendments to contracts. http://www.cordis.lu/fp5/management/help /faq.htm
