Brussels, 21 March 2002
CORDIS, the European Commission's Research and Development Information Service, is offering a redesigned service dedicated to the eContent programme.
The upgraded gateway provides comprehensive information on the eContent programme (2001-2004), which aims to encourage the development and use of European digital content on world networks and promote linguistic diversity in the information society.
The service offers information on the latest developments and access to related news and events. The eContent programme, and the eEurope initiative of which it is a part, are explained clearly with sections highlighting policy background, key actions, examples of projects and contacts. New calls for proposals will also be published on the service.
In addition, the site provides background information on the four action lines of the eContent programme: public sector, customisation, capital and rights. Links to previous programme results are also available.
The CORDIS eContent service will be updated regularly and developed in other languages. An email alert feature enables users to keep up with new developments on the service.
