While higher education's in-ternationalist instincts meant there was a certain regret at Norway's decision last year to reject European Union membership, this may not have been shared at Newcastle University.
Norwegians comprise their largest group of overseas students and the voters' verdict means the university continues to rake in lucrative overseas fees rather than the home version applied to other EU members.
