Council pledges Pounds 8m to enhance teaching

SCHEMES to improve personal and academic support of students, develop postgraduate teaching skills and help peripatetic music staff are among 44 new projects designed to boost teaching. The Higher Education Funding Council for England and Northern Ireland's education department has committed Pounds 8 million over the next two years to the new Development of Teaching and Learning programme.
