University refectories are not generally known for the quality of their food, but Queen's University Belfast has opened a new bar and grill in a venture with Michelin-starred chef Michael Deane. Staff can tuck into dishes such as Lyonnaise sausage, choucroute and pomme puree; venison mince with celeriac mash; and sea bass with brown shrimp, confit tomato and basil vinaigrette. Isabel Jennings, director of commercial services, said the partnership "reflects the status of Queen's as a new member of the prestigious Russell Group".
