Cumbria University is to set up a campus in Workington, West Cumbria, thanks to a £10 million donation from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority. The authority has agreed to support the development, at Lillyhall, to provide courses related to nuclear decommissioning, including health, physics and business innovation, construction and engineering. Tony Cunningham, MP for Workington, helped broker the deal: "It's a huge boost for West Cumbria. Young people will no longer need to leave the county to get a degree. It's a dream come true and among the best news we've had for many, many years."
