Welsh graduates earn some 46 per cent more than workers with A levels, and more are in graduate jobs than the UK average, a new report from the Institute of Employment Studies reveals. In 2003-04, the average salary for a young Welsh graduate was £16,700 compared with the UK average of £17,000, largely because of Wales's lower cost of living and lower relative wages.
