Brussels, 15 Jul 2005
The Earth system processes 2 scientific meeting will take place in Calgary, Canada, from 8 to 11 August.
The Geological Society of America (GSA) and the Geological Association of Canada (GAC) are combining their resources to convene a broad, interdisciplinary meeting to discuss the advances made in the last four years in our understanding of Earth system processes. The meeting is co-sponsored by the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
The conference will follow three linked themes:
- ancient earth systems
- modern earth systems processes
- earth systems futures
The Earth system processes 2 conference aims at exploring, from an interdisciplinary, integrative approach, the interactions among Earth's lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere, and biota.
