A mentoring scheme aimed at sharpening graduates' competitive edge in the job market will support students at Edinburgh Napier University, thanks to a £260,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund. The windfall will be spent on the university's Confident Futures programme, which includes mentoring by employers for students drawn from Edinburgh Napier's widening-participation intake. More than 180 employers, business leaders and alumni will work as mentors on the project.
