Australia has acquired something of a reputation for drag queens, thanks to the film Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Sydney's annual Mardi Gras parade. Now Melbourne University is running a course for drag queens, where students will learn techniques such as how to conceal unsightly beard shadow. Michael Schifferle, a make-up artist for the past ten years and teacher for the past four, said: "There is definitely more to being a successful drag queen than simply wearing the right clothes."
