LAST week's article about Mr Roger Ward, the Association of Colleges' chief executive, alleged that ELS (Education Lecturing Services) had made payments to Mr Ward. The article made the erroneous claim that he had said his receipt of this money "from ELS" represented the return on his investment portfolio by his investment managers. In fact, as we are glad to make clear, the monies were paid to him by his investment managers, Burke Ford Reed Insurance Management Ltd, not by ELS who we accept made no such payments. We apologise for this mistake.
