Plymouth University opened its environmental research centre this week, which it says has one of the strongest multidisciplinary environmental science teams in the country. The centre has 50 scientists and 150 associated research staff from Plymouth's faculty of science. The directors are Michael Depledge, professor of marine biology and ecotoxicology, and Paul Worsfold, professor of analytical science.
