Notes to editor:

What is NEST-PROMISE?

NEST-PROMISE (NEST-Promoting Research on Optimal Methodology and Impacts) is a Specific Support Action project funded under the FP6 NEST programme (New and Emerging Science and Technology www.cordis.lu/nest/). The main objective of the project is to exemplify Europe's future needs in tackling unsolved questions and developing innovative concepts in science and technology backed up by visionary, high risk and multi and interdisciplinary research. NEST-PROMISE assembles a wide variety of complementary experiences and skills to help inform and strengthen HINGE - High Innovation/Gain/Expectation - programmes (including NEST), supporting existing and emerging research programmes and projects, which deal with these concepts or have the potential to do so, by analysing their specific methodologies and social impact. NEST-PROMISE is financed for the period from November 15, 2005 to November 14, 2007
