Subject and career choices remain gender-stereotyped in spite of rapid expansion in the numbers of both sexes in post-compulsory education and training, says a report from the Equal Opportunities Commission. Stereotyping prevails in NVQ courses, with women in "caring" occupations, hairdressing and business administration.
