The Higher Education Statistics Agency's findings for 1995/96 reveal that:
* Of first-degree new entrants, 3.18 per cent were known to have a disability.
* Of entrants with a disability, 1.8 per cent reported "unseen" disabilities such as diabetes.
* 1.1 per cent of all postgraduate students reported having a disability
