I WAS sorry to see the THES (November 29) repeat an error which appeared in The Times Diary the preceding weekend by suggesting that Tony Giddens's chair in sociology was in the faculty of economic and politics. In fact it is in the faculty of social and political sciences. Helping to establish the faculty has been one of Tony's main contributions to Cambridge.
