Loughborough University is on the hunt for a new vice-chancellor. Incumbent David Wallace is retiring at the end of next year to give him more time for his hobbies of running, dining at La Potini re and scoffing mushrooms. They will be big shoes for anyone to step into.
Professor Sir David has just served two years as president of the Institute of Physics and is vice-president and treasurer of the Royal Society.
