Brussels, 23 Sep 2005
An introductory course to EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) for research will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on October.
Organised by Berkley Associates of Brussels, the briefing is aimed at providing sound information on FP7 in order to allow stakeholders to form a strategy towards the new programme as soon as possible, and to take advantage of the opportunities offered by FP7.
Following an overview of FP7, its background, overall structure, budget and roadmap, the course will present in detail each of the four main pillars of FP7 - Cooperation, Ideas, People and Capacities; as well as the role of Technology Platforms and Joint Technology Initiatives. Regional aspects, science and society and horizontal aspects will also be addressed.
An open discussion on reactions to the programme, views of stakeholders and comparisons with FP6 will complete the programme.
