Barnes&Noble.com will start offering free online classes this summer, allowing people to learn about everything from astronomy to dieting. The New York-based retailer said that it was building the Barnes & Noble University with notHarvard.com, which specialises in creating web classrooms. Barnes&Noble.com also purchased a stake in the Texas-based company, in Austin, for an undisclosed sum.
