The Royal Society and the Wolfson Foundation have launched a four-year, Pounds 10 million project to help universities invest in technologies and expertise for the management of scientific data.
The scheme, funded by the foundation and administered by the society, will provide individual grants of up to Pounds 250,000 to institutions. The first call for proposals under the programme is aimed at the development of informatics in chemistry, biology and medical sciences.
