Further education leaders have joined forces with lecturers' unions and an independent research company to conduct the sector's first national review of staffing and pay. The project, supported by the Department for Education and Employment, is designed to provide reliable national data on pay, recruitment and retention in colleges. The survey should be completed by the end of next month.
