Nice to know that next month's strategy document on higher education is being produced by a truly joined-up government. Arriving at a conference on leadership and management in higher education this week, higher education minister Margaret Hodge complained to delegates: "Every time the prime minister gets up in the House of Commons, he gives us another hint of what he is thinking about, which is very helpful."
